Net Roots or Grass Tip Memo
We are not alone in thinking we have the solutions, but sometimes it takes enough information and expertise to get things done, let alone right. Frustration and fiat are not enough! And often the media serves both rather than fact. In fact, given the relationship between the media and some of the culprits, and an often said reliance on them for information, there is only more information that needs to be filtered or weeded out[**]. This applies to fixing the economic bubble in the stratosphere and the bathyspheric leak* in the our planet. Excuses are lame, but solutions might be unprecedented.

in not making much economic sense. There are always people who think they know better, it does not mean they have solutions to the problems. There is a case for change, but until there is enough, there are still the same solutions needed*. That is not to say there can't be too much. There can. And Obama isn't it. Too much change that is, but hopefully, incrementally just enough.
We must have a design with an intention, not just a bottom line that starts at the top. Those that see the deficit as the greatest problem and cutting spending as the simplest solution, should know better**, not that it influences their success or advice.
* proper investments(not just jobs) are needed along with top down reform of the "invisible hand" and "bubble" blowing; a tweaking or replacement of Keynesian economics.

in an administrative and executive sense. This is to light a "Ring of Fire" around the update of my last post, as Robert Kennedy Jr. is now guest on the Thom Hartmann Show. Not to mention a corporate death penalty.

[And the tale of two leaks? President Obama, Please. Step on some throats! I think the administration should have some "anglers" and "philosphers". This is an obtuse reference to Cheney and Rumsfeld*, but what with the blame that the likes of Palin and Paul place on them, since we don't have "the one" in the White House, we may need a czar of rolling some heads. i.e. "get her done" or out the door types.]

The Real Deal?
I've seen it happen time after time. When the Democratic candidate allows himself to be put on the defensive and starts apologizing for the New Deal and the fair Deal, and says he really doesn't believe in them, he is sure to lose. The people don't want a phony Democrat. If it's a choice between a genuine Republican, and a Republican in Democratic clothing, the people will choose the genuine article, every time; that is, they will take a Republican before they will a phony Democrat, and I don't want any phony Democratic candidates in this campaign.

I believe I must credit Sarah Palin for using this term. But Rand Paul must credit Rachel Maddow for giving him an even hand.
The Pre-Midterm Mandate: The Ed Effect Sometimes the Democrats ask too little.* I second Ed. And Stephanie Miller. Not to mention TeaParty of the Left?
There is a theory out there that slips my mind now, but if I have not recrafted it, mine is that the Republicans run down government and Democrats have an up hill battle.** Actually I just sharpened it a bit. But economically*** it is a serious theory, if you look at each of the past Democratic Presidents since Eisenhower. Each administration has had a lot to recover from, and have been progressively less timid in addressing the slide, yet increasingly needful of change. Careful change.
* my amendment to Sestak paraphrasing President Kennedy.
** and I don't mean the slippery tubbers(Cf)i.e. link and Ctrl F "tub"
*** Oh and my General(Mills) Eisenhower pun aside,(but not the inversion of the check mark), my theory actually covers the existence of the Democratic Party. I will simply say that since Vietnam there has only been Carter and Clinton while the Carter was not out of the shadow of debt he faced the energy crisis, Clinton failed to transcend the Reagan revolution. I think it hinges on the failure to understand Keynesian economics and the evolution of empires or power period.

The Ed Effect!
I just heard Ed Schultz call it, The Pre-Midterm Mandate. He noted that he had mentioned it last night. Not having found it yet, I might add that when you consider the wave, the medium/the mess age, it is a case of divide and cover age. The frustrated are fleeing the muddle. The only call is to challenge the middle.
The Obama Effect?
The Specter Effect!
The Hartmann Effect?
Bottom Line? Not Devolution.
The President is a progressive that needs pushing or convincing while it might be just a hunch that it was more than just self preservation for Specter not to run to the right. I think history should look kindly on Specter to have fought for what he believed rather than go with the flow of Republicans. While Specter was always a crafty navigator of issues, I think that he would rather lose as a moderate than run as a revolutionary.
[This opinion does not rely** on a read of the first two links, while a scroll over of the rest may suffice to get a jist.]
[** nor certainly endorse or bother read]
[Just in! Thom Hartmann predicts Sestak for President in 2016! Not to mention my ironic endorsement of my 2nd link. Ironic in that, how can one believe an NRSC ad? It makes me endorse him, although I am not a Pennsylvanian.]

Hierarchy of Hypocrisy
Hating to generalize I note my potential logical fallacy in the following. Nevertheless, between the 2nd amendment and the 14th amendment, there seems a hierarchy for some. From Right to Bear Arms to Citizenship Rights where does the 1st amendment fit in? (*)
A. There is no hierarchy in constitutional amendments.
B. There are Supreme Court rulings that influence their dynamics.
C. So many blogs are moot points. (GOTO 1st sentence)
Of course maybe my posts are just moot or problematic. Problematic in generalizing and leaping. Unfortunately you must read, to decide. In generalizing there may be some association between the authors of certain events but not necessarily relevant. In the above case I simply point to fact that removal of citizenship is being considered for some but not their guns, while free speech is an element that might be fringe but relative. Meanwhile in an earlier and adjacent thought, some of this new found legislative fury seem like WMD.** Weapons of Mass Distraction. It would seem that all this populist rancor is really keeping Homeland Securiy busy. And while I support all rights reasonably used, I cannot help but feel that it really is a burden on our security. A bit more responsible reporting and responsible associating might help, but then how one goes about that...almost makes me long for a unitary executive. BTW: the dot, dot, dot was a rhetorical segue or moot question.
My potential obtuseness was not an attempt to be excedingly careful***, yet the cause and effect might be anachronistic(i.e. flip-flopped). The links to previous word choices were not intentionally designed to be more than a search for my previous usage, but they do seem to bring up some previous associations which show the importance of the process and progress, not to mention providing hope.
(*) an alternative link.
(**) not that early: My first referencing of Weapon of Mass Distraction.
(***) but maybe an antidote to some talk show hosts that muddle the search for terrorist
[Oh, and I do not vouch for the legal analysis or terminology in my ABC's. And had not intended to close with the SCOTUS link when I set out. Let alone the less than inflammable association with security. But it does seem that it is wierd that flammable and moot have similar usage issues as does the roots or branches of Faust, let alone Devil's Advocates. But no, that is the legal process, not to mention political, and word and world modifying dynamics, or as I have stumbled out(or coined) "dymanics". I will conclude with the issue that there was some Beckian confusion in the topic of a National Prayer Day in regard to what was canceled and what is being fought and by whom. But the ideas which Thom Hartmann yesterday contrasted was a National Day of Reason to share and balance the National Day of Prayer. While I suggested a National Day of Faith. But would that be legal? Not without debate, moot and inflammable or not.]

P.S. The NYTimes of course has it's cynics, while I hope CSM doesn't need more critics.

[I should note that I have not even caught Mad Men or The Wire but they might be following us and I allude to the deeper threads, which just might hinge on the word reconstruction as much as deconstruction.]
[Hint: "PC" is a Beckian tangent(wisecrack or side crack), while "Do Do" is a mess age we are in and must "read" as "well/to do". P.S. not pronounced "doh, doh" but that is another tangent or non-dough dew.]
[P.S.2.0 my "original intent" was to avoid "a ribble", but it could be unavoidable without a revamping of Keynesian economics or at least an imparting of Try-Go-No Metrics.]
* Update 5-6-10 P.C. Explained see Hint link added under "Beckian".
